so guys here s what happened.
those of you who do not know or havent spoken to den will not know that i recieved an e mail fmor east 15 telling me that i was not successful in my audiiton for the ba acting....HOWEVER they would like me to consider the contempory theatre corse. now this is not all that different from the ba acting. it is still a ba and you still get the acting training the others do....in fact u ll be in the same room as them in the same lesson. but you also get to work on your own things. you get to create your own plays and stuff and perform them. you learn a bit of directing and stage management but thats just for general knowledge. basiclly instead of perfecting on my hamlet or romeo i get to work on my own stuff and creat characters that are mine and learn how to make original scripts that have never been done b4 come to life. only sean hayes can play jack mcfarland...ne 1 else is imitating. u knwo what i mean. think of johnny depp.... he created the character of captain jack sparrow even though on the script the character seemed very reserved. so it is the same principle really. think monty p or the little britain people. they are performing their own. on the course i ll not only be able to learn how to promote myself as an actor but also learn how to start up my own group or company or whatever and instead of waiting for my agent to call i can go out there and make things happen for myself...almost seems like a better deal if you ask me.
it s NOT a place on the course yet. i have to meet with the cont. acting head cos he has to decide. but i phoned the school and asked them about y i didnt get into the ba acting and they said that the panel thought, although i was ready for a BA and not a foundation, i would be a lot more suited, both character and imagination wise, for the cont course. it isnt something they tell everyone. i was the only one who was offered this option everyone else either got in or were told no. so yeeey me... in a way i am sad but then again i have no reason to be cos i m still in the game and still working towards what i want.
